Class of 2024/2025
In P2 we have two teachers Mrs Martin (Monday - Wednesday) and Mrs Hall (Thursday - Friday), our classroom assistant is Mrs Evans.
Our Topics Include...
Every morning we spend 5 minutes on Dough Disco or Squiggle, these help promote fine motor skills which works to improve brain and muscle development.
Kindness Week 2024
For kindness week the children came to school in their colourful and bright odd socks. Throughout this important week we talked about how unique and special everyone is.
Children's Mental Health Week - 3rd to 7th February 2025
We listened to the story - The Colour Monster - A story about emotions.
IT'S OKAY TO NOT BE OKAY!
The video linked below is what we showed to the class to try and help them understand internet safety and the importance of telling a grown up if something goes wrong, a stranger tries to talk to them, or if an unusual link pops up and how they should NOT click on it.
100th Day Of School
Wednesday 5th February 2025
On this day the children completed a variety of different activities to celebrate their 100th day of school in P2. Activities included
Happy Valentine's Day
P2 had a great time dancing at our Valentine's Disco. They dressed up in pink and red and bought treats and snacks from the tuck shop.
It was a day filled with lots of fun, dancing and music!

This is our new topic in P2. The children have been enjoying all our new fun activities that have been set up in our playroom. These include:-
Pancake Day!
Pancake day was on Tuesday 4th March 2025. The children enjoyed getting to make some lovely pancakes and choose their favourite toppings.
World Book Day
Thursday 6th March 2025
On World Book Day the children dressed up as their favourite Fairytale character. The day consisted of fun World Book Day activities.
Please welcome our chickens to Belvoir Park Primary School. They are called:
Over the past four weeks P2 have been taking part in gymnastics sessions over in Belvoir activity centre.
The children took part in balancing on the beam, pulling themselves up on the bars, running and doing shape jumps on the air track and more.
The children enjoyed their time at gymnastics and look forward to doing it again next year.
P2 had a great time performing at our 60th Birthday show.
We worked really hard over the past couple of months to perfect our item "Simon Says"
EE-I-EE-I-O!!!
This is our new topic in P2 for the final 2 months of the school year. The playroom has been changed to farm related play areas. These include:
P2 enjoyed a lovely walk through Belvoir Forest and had a run around in the 'Hide and Seek' trees.
We all had a wonderful morning!
World Bee Day
Tuesday 20th May 2025.
P2 had a visit from our 'resident' BEE KEEPER, Mrs Price. Mrs Price talked about the different kinds of bees that exist, how they feed, the difference between the male and female bees, the different equipment that is used, what protective clothing she has to wear so she doesn't get stung by any bees and more. The children got to dress up in some of the clothes that has to be worn when keeping bees and took part in different activities throughout the day.
These included:-
P2 enjoyed their end of year trip to Streamvale Farm.
We saw so many animals and learned some new exciting facts about them. We went on a tractor ride, petted rabbits and baby chicks, fed goats and rabbits and to end our day we had lots of fun playing in all the different play areas around the farm.
We all had a fantastic day!
